The IBFI online seminar on data protection brought together more than 120 central bank representatives from around the world. Discussions showed an increased focus on data protection, although there is still room for improvement regarding the impact of the Regulation on services offered to EU residents by non-EU companies.
This year's seminar was enriched with a case study covering the identification of personal data, the determination of data processing responsibilities, the legal basis for processing personal data, the rights of data subjects and the categories of personal data.
