Pierre Poulain

Pierre Poulain joined the Banque de France 38 years ago and has worked in various control functions, including the on-site inspection of the Bank’s branch network and head office divisions, and the supervision of credit institutions.

He has also held the position of First Director of the Risk Prevention Unit, which is tasked with steering the management of operational risks, including cyber risk. He has worked in a number of roles in the Banque de France’s operational directorates: he was Director of Real Estate, then of IT Projects and later of IT Operations and Cyber Resilience, before going on to become Deputy Director General of the Bank’s Information System.

Prior to joining the Banque de France, he spent several years at Deloitte as Head of the IT Audit service line. Pierre Poulain is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Risk Professional.
