The Banque de France is organizing a workshop on “Global Currencies” in its headquarters in Paris on December 6th.

Background and Objective

The objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers that work on the intersection of international economics, macroeconomics and financial markets. The workshop will take place at the headquarters of the Banque de France in Paris and last for one day. Both academic researchers as well as researchers from national central banks and other institutions will participate.

The conference is about currencies and their role in the global economy. The primary themes of the conference, while not exhaustive, include but are not limited to:
•    Dominant Currencies 
•    Exchange Rates
•    Convenience Yields
•    Sovereign Debt and the International Economy
•    Current Account Dynamics
•    International Fiscal and Monetary Policy
