The Banque de France is organizing a workshop on “Global Currencies” in its headquarters in Paris on December 6th.

Background and Objective

The objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers that work on the intersection of international economics, macroeconomics and financial markets. Both empirical and theoretical contributions to the workshop are very welcome. The workshop will take place at the headquarters of the Banque de France in Paris and last for one day.  Both academic researchers as well as researchers from national central banks and other institutions are welcome.

The conference is about currencies and their role in the global economy. Possible aspects include but are not limited to:
•    Dominant Currencies 
•    Exchange Rates
•    Convenience Yields
•    Sovereign Debt and the International Economy
•    Current Account Dynamics
•    International Fiscal and Monetary Policy

Submissions

Please submit a full script of your paper (PDF) to global.currencies@banque-france.fr. The deadline for submissions is September 1st, 2024
Only papers submitted by the deadline will be considered. Notification of acceptance will be given by end of September 2024

Practical Information

Travel and accommodation costs for presenters of accepted contributions will be covered for researchers from universities. 
Details will be circulated after notification of acceptance.
