The Banque de France and the Université Paris Dauphine – PSL organize the conference “Financial Intermediation and Monetary Policy: Recent Trends and New Challenges” at the Banque de France headquarters in Paris on November 25, 2024.

Background 
The conference features high-quality theoretical and empirical papers on topics related to financial intermediation and monetary policy. The presented papers focus on issues such as the transmission of monetary policy through banks, the relationship between banking competition and monetary policy, bank funding in the context of fluctuating interest rates, the impact of digital transformation on financial intermediation, and the implications of Fintech and new financial products and services for monetary policy.

The keynote speaker is Prof. Robin Greenwood (Harvard Business School and NBER).
