This edition focuses on emerging and evolving risks facing the global economy. We invite theoretical and empirical research covering the following topics:
- The macroeconomics of trade policy
- Capital controls, FX interventions and the future of dollar dominance
- Global policy uncertainty and macroeconomic volatility
- International spillovers from fiscal and monetary policy divergence
- Rising sovereign risks, reserve currencies and the role of alternative assets
- New global drivers for inflation dynamics and challenges for central banks
- Geopolitical risks shaping real and financial fragmentation
The deadline for submitting a paper is 15 June 2025. Please submit full papers via e-mail to InternationalMacroWorkshop2025@bancaditalia.it. Authors of selected papers will be contacted by 4 July 2025. The submitting author is expected to present. Financial support for travel expenses and accommodation for academic speakers is available (CEPR guidelines apply).
